    I can't patch/update game, sorry if I am in wrong place

    I am kind of out of options. I bought the game on EA Origin, which was dumb, I buy everything on Steam and GOG, but I think I got a bit of a discount because I had EA's Origin Access membership.

    Anyway--long story short--I realize I am not fully patched. Patch 2 should have, among other things, the ability to move items 10 at a time, and it should have fixed the haggle perk. My game has not done this. I started a new game and it didn't fix the issue. I have contact EA origin support, called them, chatted with them, and I get comments like "What's an Elex?" Seriously--one of their crack team said that once. I ran through all their steps for other games this has happened with before like Sims 4: running as an admin, repairing, reinstalling as an admin, reinstalling origin as an admin, clearing origin's cache, etc. To no avali.

    I'm kind of banging my head against a wall here.

    Now, the game works. I can play it. But I can't play all of it you know? My Eriksson quest is bugged. I can't buy flame fuel. Things like that. Other patches likely won't be released to me. I am really bummed out! I love this game. Do you guys have any ideas?

    I read somewhere that in rare situations a developer might issue a code for a different platform--like I could go over to Steam, but I wouldn't even know where to begin with something like that.

    I know this isn't PB's fault--this is EA's fault. I just don't know who to ask to fix this at this point. I have verified the game isn't patch by right clicking on the .exe and looking details.

    I'm running: 1.0.2828.0 no matter how many times I try to update it through Origin. Any assistance or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

    Update

    So, I talked to EA Support again. I wanted to post some of the transcript of their answers, and see if anyone can help me with their suggestions:

    EA suggestions:

    Harsh: I checked details and discussed it with specialist team, it seems that there are no codes available for the game from our end hence from here we can only help with troubleshooting steps related to the game or Origin.

    Harsh: But as you have already tried it, what we can suggest you is to contact the developer support.

    Harsh: I am sorry but we have no control over it and if the developers released a patch, it should be for all platforms equally.

    So, I couldn't get him to elaborate, but it seems to me based on response 3, that PB hasn't released the patch to EA Origin, and that he is recommending I contact PB and get a product key so I can activate it on another platform. But, I can find no way to contact PB. Does anyone know how? I see on the Elex site that I can follow them through social media, but that's it.

    That is actually a topic for the publisher, which is THQ Nordic. I have just forwarded the question to them directly but you can also contact them yourself via this contact form.

    There was no explicit statement about the patch for Origin yet but it should of course be delivered to all platforms.

    Origin has been made aware of the problem and this thread specifically.

    They have also confirmed having received the latest patch (1.0.2846.0) from THQ and that it should be deployed to their customers.
