    Similar Games

Let's see if we have missed anything important

From the day I played Gothic, I can never again play games which do not have some similarity with it (third person, magic, swords, bows, etc). Games I have picked up till now are:
    -Gothic series and Addons
    -Arcania
    -Risen(1,2,3)
    -TES series and Addons
-Two Worlds(1,2) - Though I did not like it much, it lacked in every aspect..
-Dark Souls - I quit, just couldn't handle too much death and back to the start again..
-Mount and Blade Warband - Warning! Once I looked my clock to see what time it is while playing and then next time I did it was 10 hours later.
    -Vampire: The masquerade Bloodlines!
    -Fallout Series
    -Arx Fatalis
    -Dragon Age series
    -Witcher series
    -Blade of Darkness
    -Game of Thrones
    -Kingdom of Amalur
    -Divinity ego draconis
    -Neverwinter Nights(series I think?)
    -Drakensang
    -Thief Series

Any other I might be missing? What similar games have you played?

Till I beat what was previously unbeatable, I might as well be 100 years old

I can't stand dark souls aswell, the first one was a very bad port to pc, the second one is unplayable, too much delay between key pressure and character doing.

Anyway, if you like to manage a full party of characters, Dragon Age series is nice too. Love his lore.

A game that reminds me of Gothic in terms of basic gameplay would be Blade of Darkness. It's not an RPG by any means, but the combat is fun and it's a fairly unique and challenging dungeon crawl. Problem is, it was taken down from Good Old Games ages ago, and would be very hard to find nowadays.

For the one char RPG there is Divinity ego draconis (I don't like it), Kingdom of Amalur, Game of Thrones and for party RPG Neverwinter Nights, Drakensang and of course every D&D videogame!

Never heard of Blade of Darkness before! Couldn't play it by now, way too old to be enjoyed

Personally I would swap out Arcania and put in some Fallout stuff.
I have to admit I did enjoy playing Arcania, but it was ... different.

I definitely loved Fallout 3 and New Vegas, can't wait for Fallout 4!
That is the game that fits perfectly with first person because of prominent FPS element... Arcania simply wasn't Gothic ^^

Ahahah well Innos, Fallout is first person and it isn't based on medieval weapons but it's a GREAT RPG and I really do suggest you to give it a try

If that's the case then why should I hide my post?
In my first post I said

Has fallout to do with any of these?

Addition: And let me add that I never said similar games to ELEX (as we don't know how it will be from now), but to gothic and whole atmosphere of the third person RPG.
